Whatīs the proper name for . . .
Whatīs the proper name for a parallel hull, or hull-ette, that is typically a log next to a primitive canoe or kayak, which stabilises, a bit like stabilisers on a childīs bicycle?

Iīve only ever heard of it called an īOutriggerī or īpontoonī but I donīt believe either of those are correct.
Did a bit of a search and found this link: http://www.kiocc.com/guidebook.html#app7 Calling it an īamaī which is confirmed on several other web sites. --
