I hunched down to get a good view of the interior of the crater of the volcano. This was taken fairly early in the morning because the crater fills with clouds most of the day. The trade winds blow moist air in and clouds form soon after the sun warms the ground. Less than an hour after this picture was taken the whole crater was obscured. If you get the chance to go to Maui and see Haleakala Crater keep this in mind when making your plans. Filename: me on haleakala web.jpg |
