Adding a New Content Page
This walk-through will help explain the process (at a high level) for adding a new page to the web site, putting content on that page, and finally linking it into the site navigation.
Help for the specific forms mentioned is available in the see-also section at the bottom
Create The Page
The first step is to create the page. Navigate to the main
manage.content
menu and scroll to the bottom. You should see a button
New Page
click that and the new page form will come up. Create the page in the desired path and the system will return you to the main menu. You should now see that page in the list of pages with
Edit
,
Content
, and
View
buttons next to it.
Add Page Content
Click the
Content
button and enter the content for the page you just created. Since it won´t yet be included in the site navigation you will need to use the
View
button from either to top of the content form or the mnain menu to view the content of that page while you are working.
Update the Site Navigation
Pages are
not
automatically added to the site´s navigation. You must manually add the page in the approperiate place once you have finished adding content. To do this click on
manage navigation
in the administrative tools at the top of any page in the content management area and use either the
Add Base Item
or
Add ... Sub Item
button to insert this new page as the case may be.
Help for the specific forms mentioned is available in the see-also section at the bottom
