SARSCENE
Iīve been keeping this somewhat under wraps... But Iīm leaving for another CCGA related trip tomorrow - this time to Quebec and then St. Johns to take part in SARScene and then meet with the Marine Institute regarding our new Rescue Vessel Simulator...SARscene is an annual conference put on by the National Search and Rescue Secretariat in Canada and brings together all manner of people involved in SAR. Iīm getting to go in part to help support the CCGAīs efforts to show progress with the new Simulator (more on that to follow) and in part to showcase the SAR Management System that I developed (there is an intro video at that link). It should be an amazing trip!
The Simulator is a new concept - we are working to develop something (like a flight simulator) but for Fast Response Rescue Vessels. You can watch a intro video to that as well.
So I suppose Iīll be blogging from the road for the next while. Iīll do my best to keep you all up to date - it should be a trip filled with interesting experiences and hopefully Iīll get to meet up with some of the people Kellei and I met the first time we visited the East Coast for ISAR.
The only down-side to all of this is that Kellei canīt come :( Iīm traveling on the CCGAīs dime and we canīt afford a ticket otherwise so she is stuck at home. Iīll have to make sure that I bring Back loads of swag for her! :)
