Pet Food Recall - Not Here
Itīs sad that yet again itīs taken a tragedy to awaken societyīs collective consciouses to an injustice. In this case itīs the scandalous realm that is commercially rendered-meat based pet foods. Having fed all my companion animals food that I prepared myself for well over a decade and having researched the issue at length Iīm not really surprised - but it doesnīt lessen the sorrow. Yet again our society has shown that the almighty dollar has brought forth the unscrupulous and yet again, the innocent must pay the price. In a past life I actually helped found a company that helps people make their own cat food This later spawned a dog food spin-off.
Itīs with a sigh of relief that I sit Back and know that my whole family can relax knowing full well that everyone who ate dinner at our house, did so safely. If you have companion animals and havenīt yet considered giving them something better to eat that rendered meat (and if you donīt know what is really going into pet foods just do a search on-line and let your brain boggle) Now is the time!
Sure it costs more - but honestly, are they not worth it? How good can the dry kibble or can that has a shelf life of years and is worth less then a can of soda pop (just water, sugar, and flavor) actually be?
Anyway - sorry for this little rant - I had put this fight behind me for several years - but it seems that society may finally be ready to rethink pet food and I hope, in my small part, to help get the word out.
PS: If you want to know About our dog, he has his own web page: Wyatt Earp
